“Ba Bể, a freshwater paradise — gentle but profound!” Four days at Ba Bể gave me a rare kind of calm. A boat carried us across Ba Bể lake, clear and still as a mirror, primeval forest and limestone peaks on either side. Staying in a village homestay and having dinner with a Tày family was wonderfully warm — the bánh gio and smoked meat especially full of local character. The tour also includes trekking through Puông cave and a wide view over the whole lake. The pacing is just right for anyone who wants a gentle break combined with real cultural experience!
