“Three peaceful days in the mountains — Mường Lào is unforgettable!” It was only a short trip, but Mường Lào left me with a lot. The road winds and turns through Thái and H’Mông villages, through green that goes on forever. I lived with a local family, learned to make cơm lam and to weave brocade, and explored the hamlets by motorbike and on gentle walks. Waking each morning in the mist with birdsong outside was deeply restful. A soft but moving tour, right for anyone who needs to escape the city for a while.
